Going Shopping / Ідемо за покупками.
Формування навичок говоріння.
Мета:

o  вчити учнів спілкуватися про види магазинів та процес здійснення покупок; активізувати в мовленні та на письмі лексичний матеріал по темі «Покупки. Види магазинів та товари. Список покупок»; вчити вести діалог «Покупець–продавець»;
o  формувати навички монологічного та діалогічного говоріння, вдосконалювати навики читання,  аудіювання та письма; сприяти розвитку пам’яті, мислення, уваги та уяви; розвивати мовну здогадку учнів;
o  виховувати інтерес та потребу у вивченні англійської мови, виховувати культуру спілкування між продавцем та покупцем в магазині, виховувати  повагу до людей торгівлі.
Обладнання:
-     сюжетні малюнки по темі «Weather. Winter / Погода. Зима»,
-     нова лексики до уроку, слова для фонетичної руханки,
-     лексика по темі «Shopping. Kinds of shops and goods / Покупки. Види магазинів та товари» (мовне портфоліо),
-     карта магазинів та картки для гри Bingo,
-     додаткові завдання по лексиці,
-     додатковий матеріал для учнів – речення по темі  Doing Shopping,
-     репліки для діалогу “Customer-Shop assistant / Покупець-продавець”,
-     картки для рольової гри (картки для продавців, картки для покупців з Shopping List, предметні малюнки товарів, корзина для покупок, алгоритм діалогу «Покупець-продавець»),

8. Рольова гра по темі «У магазині».
Ê Хід рольової гри.
There are five shops:
·         a computer shop
·         a newsagent's
·         a greengrocer’s
·         a small supermarket
·         a bookshop
The cards are structured so that some discussion and negotiation is necessary to find most of the things on the learners' shopping lists. At higher levels learners can be encouraged to elaborate on the conversations and make them more complex.
Tips for teachers:
  • Hand out the cards to the students making sure there is an equal number of shopping lists and shops.
  • Give the learners time to read their cards and ask you about any problem language. They also need to think about what they are going to say, and what language they will need. You can group the shoppers together and shop owners together to do this.
  • Point out to the shop owners that they may need to decide how much their products cost before starting.
  • Start the role-play. The shoppers need to find everything on their lists and complete their short task also.
  • Monitor the activity for interesting language or for problems, which you can feedback afterwards. Try not to intervene too much at this stage.
  • Keep the role-play going until enough shoppers have completed their tasks.
  • Put the class into groups and ask them to explain how the shopping (and selling) went, and what problems they had.
  • Feedback open class on any interesting language points.
